As Hispanic Heritage Month begins September 15, Fidelis Care joins New York State and the nation in celebrating the rich cultural heritage, contributions, and resilience of the Hispanic community. Hispanic Heritage Month reflects my culture, family, and joy. That’s what I experienced as a child in the Dominican Republic and embrace today. I am proud of my heritage, and work to educate and empower my children to be proud of who they are and what they represent. I consider the month a celebration of my authentic self.

Fidelis Care welcomed 11 students to its second annual Summer DEI Internship Program, which ran from late May to early August. Diversity serves as the bedrock upon which the Fidelis Care summer internship program is built. The students, chosen by Fidelis Care People Leaders from a group of highly qualified candidates, represent a wide range of backgrounds and academic and practical experience.

April is Autism Awareness month, it is a time to recognize and advocate for the acceptance and inclusion of individuals identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

In observance of National Minority Health Month this April, Fidelis Care is raising awareness about the health disparities facing minority populations. This year's theme, “Better Health Through Better Understanding,” focuses on how meeting cultural and linguistic needs can help improve health outcomes for individuals of all ages.
